01. How many days should the second skin be worn?

You can keep the second skin on for 3 to 5 days.

04. My tattoo is leaking plasma and ink out of the second skin.

Please don’t take off the second skin. Plasma is vital in the tattoo healing process. Please wipe up any spills with a clean paper towel.

06-1. How can I put the second skin on again?

If it is the 4th day after tattooing, please do not apply a second skin.

If you received the tattoo in the last 3 days, follow these directions. After the tattoo area is completely air dry, you will apply the second skin. Do this by covering the tattoo area with the second skin by gently putting pressure with your finger on the second skin over the center of the tattoo area first and apply it. Then, attach it by gently pushing it outward with your finger to spread and apply the adhesive. Make sure there is no air under the second skin.

08.  When can I start bathing and tanning? When can I go on summer vacation?

It is possible after 2 weeks. If you are exposed to direct sunlight in the first two weeks, your skin will become embossed and scarring can occur.

11. What other precautions should I take within the first 10 days?

Nobody should touch the tattoo with their hands. Please do not let it rub against your clothes. There are a lot of germs on clothes. When you sleep, wear clothes that cover your tattoo and wear clothes that can be thrown away. If ink gets on anything, including your blanket, it will never come off even after washing.

02. When can I shower?

The second skin is a semi-waterproof bandage so you can shower like normal during this time. It’s alright if the second skin gets wet but you cannot soak it (no bathtubs, hot tubs, pools, etc.). Do not wash the second skin when you are in the shower. If water gets under the bandage, remove it immediately and continue with the normal aftercare routine.

05. Is it normal for the edges of the second skin to turn red and itch?

If you have a distinct red line along the edge of your second skin, I think you are allergic to the second skin. Please take it off right away. Do not put the second skin on again.

06-2. How long should I apply the ointment??

Before your skin gets dry, squeeze out a small amount and apply it very thinly. Approximately 3-4 times a day is appropriate, but if this is not possible, apply it after waking up and before going to bed. Apply Aquaphor for only 3 days. One enclosed Aquaphor is enough for one day. It is convenient to use by putting it in the enclosed container. Wash the container once a day and dry it completely before use.

09. When can I start exercising?

You should absolutely not exercise for at least a week. You must wait for two weeks to do pumping exercises or hot yoga. If the tattoo area is stretched, it cracks during healing and becomes inflamed. Even if you get a touch-up later, the ink won't go in because the scar has faded the tattoo and there's nothing I can do to change it. If you must exercise, and if you have tattoos on your arms, please only do lower body exercises.

12. What if my skin is weird?

Please take a photo of your current tattoo and contact us right away.

03. What if the tattoo spot is painful, swollen, and reddish?

This is normal for up to 4 days. Avoid touching the tattoo spot as much as possible.

06. How can I remove the second skin?

Remove the second skin at the end of a warm shower. If the second skin is dry, do not remove it because this can be painful and can damage the tattoo. The warmth in the shower will loosen the adhesive and make it easier to remove.

I recommend finding a top corner on the bandage and pulling it down diagonally and slowly. This will be the easiest and most efficient way of removing the bandage.

After the bandage is removed, while you are still in the shower, gently clean your tattoo with mild soap (liquid antibacterial or antimicrobial soap — no bar soap) and water. DO NOT use bar soap, loofahs, rags, or sponges as they harbor bacteria and can be abrasive. Rinse with cold water and blot with a clean paper towel, and air dry.

Reapply the included extra second skin (from the 1st to 3rd day, refer to 5-1) or apply a thin layer of the included Aquaphor (from the 4th day, refer to 5-2).

07. What if the tattoo area still itches even after a week?

This is normal. This is the process in which the skin heals. Never scratch, pinch or hit it. If it is too itchy, tap it very lightly with your hand. You need to apply any unscented cream like hand creams, body lotions, or facial cream very thinly.

10. When can I start drinking alcohol?

After getting a tattoo, it is generally recommended to avoid consuming any alcohol or other alcoholic beverages for at least the first 24-48 hours. During this initial period, the tattooed skin is still in the process of healing, and the intake of alcohol could interfere with the healing process.

13. When can a touch-up be done?

It takes 2 weeks for the outer skin to heal, and 28 days for the inner skin to heal.

Touch-ups are available after one month (50$ for 3 months after the tattooed day, and an hourly charge after 3 months).
